Reading:

*Stories from Reader

*Novels: These Are My People; A Father’s Promise:  "God's World", a monthly fourth grade newspaper

*Eight required Book
Reports from eight different genres

Language Arts:

*Grammar: What is a sentence?; The eight parts of
speech; summarizing information; creative writing

Art:

*The Basic Elements of
Design; Drawing; Painting with attention to mixing color

Latin:

*Latin I, II are
offered. I teach Latin II. Studying Latin gives students a strong
awareness of Language, grammatical order, and a sense of the origins of our
English language as well as increasing their vocabulary.

Spelling:

*The Fourth grade is
piloting the Sitton Spelling Curriculum this year.
