It's hard to believe that it's the middle of May! We are having a great time in third grade and still have lots to do! Here is a recap of what we are working on.

In math we are working on larger multiplication problems such as 34 X 5. The students are doing great! We will work on this a little more then move onto geometry before doing a week or so of review.

In Bible class we are finishing up our study on the Israelites concuring Canaan. We will focus on the Judges for the last few weeks. Our memory verse this week is Joshua 24: 14-15.

We walk to the library every other Friday. The students love the walk and really enjoy library time. This is what we found when we arrived on April 1st, no fooling! We decided to walk back to the school and continue on to the park. The kids loved the change of pace and we all had a great time. God was so good in that the rain clouds that looked a little scary held off their rain until after school!

Only a few days until school starts and the room is looking good. I am so excited to begin the year and I know it's going to be a great one! Please keep checking in and I'll update you on the exciting things that happen in our class!

Welcome to 3rd grade! Here is our wonderful, energetic class!

We are beginning a new curriculum in spelling. We will be piloting Sitton Spelling. It is different...don't look for the weekly spelling lists and Monday and Friday tests. A note will be going home with more information, but if you have questions please feel free to contact me. This program should help students become life spellers, not just Friday test spellers.
